1. Data controller
many styles and forms, based in the Netherlands, is the data controller for the processing of personal data through yoursoundtrack.com.
2. What data we collect
We only collect data that is necessary to provide the service:
- Email address — to send your order confirmation and delivery email.
- Briefing data (use case, mood, energy, instruments) — to generate your music set.
- Payment information — processed by Stripe. We do not store payment card details.
- IP address and technical metadata — for security and rate limiting.
3. How we use data
Your data is used for:
- Processing and delivering your order.
- Sending transactional emails (order confirmation, delivery email).
- Improving our service (anonymised analytics).
- Complying with legal obligations.
4. Retention periods
We retain order data for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes (legal obligation). We retain email addresses for marketing purposes until you unsubscribe. Technical log files are deleted after 30 days.
5. Third parties
We share data with the following processors solely to provide the service:
- Stripe — payment processing (US, Standard Contractual Clauses)
- Supabase — database hosting (EU)
- Vercel — hosting (US, Standard Contractual Clauses)
- Resend — email delivery (US, Standard Contractual Clauses)
- SoundCloud — music delivery (EU/US)
- AWS S3 — file storage (EU)
We never sell personal data to third parties.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your data (right to be forgotten).
- Object to processing.
- Data portability.
You can submit requests via privacy@yoursoundtrack.com. We respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies
We only use functional cookies that are necessary for the site to operate (session, security). We do not place third-party tracking or analytics cookies without your consent.
