LICENCE

What the licence covers and what it does not.

Consumer streaming subscriptions are meant for personal use. YourSoundTrack delivers a separate business-use licence tied to the customer and scope stated on the certificate.

WHY THIS EXISTS

Consumer streaming is not the same as business playback.

Consumer Spotify and Apple Music subscriptions are intended for personal, non-commercial use. YourSoundTrack exists to give businesses delivered files and a separate business-use licence for the scope stated in the order.

The practical question is not only how the music sounds, but who may use it, where it may be played, and what documentation exists if someone asks how the playback is licensed.

COVERED

What the licence does cover.

  • Public playback in the business named on the certificate
  • Use on the approved playback devices and systems for that business
  • Downloaded WAV and MP3 files stored by the customer
  • Private streaming playlist and portal delivery access

NOT COVERED

What stays out of scope.

  • Resale or redistribution of the files
  • Uploading the tracks to public DSPs as your own release
  • Claiming authorship of the compositions
  • Sync use in paid advertising, film, TV or games without separate agreement
  • Broadcast or ticketed event use unless separately agreed

NAMED BUSINESS

Issued to the customer named in the certificate.

The certificate is generated in the business name captured during the order and paired with the billing identity from checkout.

SCOPE

Use is tied to the documented business scope.

Location coverage and broader venue use need to match the agreed scope. This matters especially for groups and multi-location businesses.

DOCUMENTATION

A certificate and track schedule are included.

The licence PDF includes the business details, issue date, legal parties and Annex A with the delivered tracks.

COLLECTING SOCIETIES

What we can say clearly right now.

YourSoundTrack charges a one-time fee for the delivered set and does not charge a recurring subscription or per-play fee for those delivered tracks.

Broader territory-specific conclusions about collecting-society obligations depend on the full rights chain, the actual licence scope and the playback context. This page therefore focuses on the direct licence we issue, rather than on blanket territory claims.

AI AND RIGHTS CHAIN

How the output is framed legally.

The delivered tracks are AI-generated and are supplied under a contractual business-use licence. The licence grants use rights for the delivered files; it does not transfer ownership of the underlying rights.

The tracks are not sold as standalone intellectual property, and any broader claims or special use cases should be reviewed against the current licence scope before ordering.
